Section Text

a) while on active duty; or (b) at any place outside India; or (c) at any place specified by the Central Government by notification in this behalf. CHAPTER 04: PUNISHMENTS Clause 51.- This provides that enrolled persons sentenced on active duty to dismissal or imprisonment or both nay be retained to serve in the ranks. This is necessary as it may not be feasible to get a substitute for such a person immediately.-S.O.R. -Gai. of lnd.,9-5-l968, Pt. II, S. 2, Ext., p. 680.
