SECTION 29: PLACE OF IMPRISONMENT UNDER SECTION 28 Every person who shall be imprisoned under the last preceding section, or on account of the non payment of any fine or penalty prescribed by this Act, unless such person be an officer of the Government or a village police officer convicted of an offence under section 17-, 20-or23-, shall be imprisoned in the civil jail.
