SECTION 46: PENALTY FOR NEGLIGENTLY WASTING ENERGY OR INJURING WORKS -Whoever negligently causes energy to be wasted or diverted, or negligently breaks throws down or damages any electric supply-line, post, pole or lamp or other apparatus connected with the supply of energy shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
