SECTION 27: FALSE REPRESENTATION OF GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY Whoever falsely represents that any emigrants are required by the Government or are to be engaged on behalf of the Government shall be punishable 86[with imprisonment of a term which may extend to three years and with fine: Provided that in the absence of special and adequate reasons to the contrary to be mentioned in the judgment of the Court, such imprisonment shall not be less than six months and such fine shall not be less than one thousand rupees.]
