Section Text

(1) This Act may be called the Provident Funds Act, 1925.

(2) It extends to1[the whole of India2[except the State of Jammu and Kashmir]3[* * *]

(3) It shall come into force on such date4as the5[Central Government] may, by notification in the6[official Gazette], appoint.
