THE PROVIDENT FUNDS ACT, 1925

PREAMBLE

An Act to amend and consolidate the law relating to Government and other Provident Funds

Whereas it is expedient to amend and consolidate the law relating to Government and other Provident Funds;

It is hereby enacted as follows:

1. For Statement of Objects and Reasons, see Gazette of India, 1942, Pt. V, p. 122. This Act has been declared to be in force in the district of Khondmals by Regulation 4 of 1936, Section 3 and Schedule, and the district of Angul by Regulation 5 of 1936, Section 3 and Schedule, also partially extended to Berar by C.P. and Berar Act 4 of 1941; amended partially in U.P. by U.P. Act 19 of 1953.
