The Honourable Judge of the aforesaid Court.
The humble accused most humbly showeth as under:
1. That the defence counsel has objected to the admissibility in evidence of a letter allegedly sought to be adduced by the prosecution in evidence.
2. That the said letter has no bearing on the facts of the case nor, it is relevant for the purpose of the present trial.
3. That the said letter has been adduced in evidence only in order to malign the character of the accused.
4. That Section 54 of the Evidence Act bars the admission of the said letter in evidence.
