Power-of-Attorney for actionable claim
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS THAT, We M/s. ......................., a firm carrying on business in ................................., SEND GREETINGS :-
WHEREAS, we the Consignees, in respect of the goods booked under L.R. No. .......... dated ........... from ................... to ..................... hereby appoint, nominate and constitute the ................... carrying on Insurance business at ..................... to act on our behalf or by any of their representatives as our true and lawful Attorneys to do all or any of the following acts, deeds and things for us and on our behalf in our name, that is to say:-
To receive claim moneys from Lorry Administration or Authorities payable to us under the aforesaid invoice/Lorry Receipt, and to give valid discharges on our behalf pertaining to the above claim and to sign all receipts in our name and on our behalf pertaining to the above claim.
And to file suit in Courts of Law against the Transporter, if necessary, for the recovery of claim moneys for the aforesaid claim, on our behalf and in our name and give valid discharges and effectual receipts thereto, and to settle and adjust the above claim, if necessary, and to give valid discharges and effectual receipts.
