XI. The Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950
1. Notice of meetings
The Chairman shall fix the date, time and place of every meeting, and a notice in writing containing the aforesaid particulars along with a list of business to be conducted at the meeting shall be sent to each member by registered post at least fifteen days before the date fixed for such meeting :
Provided that in the case of an emergent meeting, notice of seven days only may be given to every member. [Vide rule 12 of the Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950].
2. Publicity to the minimum wages fixed under the Act
Notices in Form IX-A containing the minimum rates of wages fixed together with abstracts of the Act, the rules made thereunder and the name and address of the Inspector shall be displayed in English and in a language understood by the majority of the workers in the employment at the main entrances to the establishment and at its office and shall be maintained in a clean and legible condition. Such notices shall also be displayed on the notice boards of all sub-divisional and district offices. [Vide rule 22 of the Minimum Wages (Central) Rules, 1950].
