ADOPTION WITHOUT WIFE’S CONSENT

BE IT KNOWN TO ALL THAT, I _____________ s/o ___________ r/o

___________ on this _________ day of _____ 200 _____________ have

adopted Shri __________ aged __________________ years. Shri

____________ father of the adopted son with the intention of

transferring his son form the family of his birth to my family, with

the consent of his wife Smt. ___________ has willingly handed over his

said son _______ to me and I have taken the Shri ___________ into my

lap as my adopted son. He shall be deemed to be my son for all the

purposes and all his terms with the family of his birth shall be

severed and replaced with those of the family of adoption.

As my wife has been declared to be of unsound mind her consent is not

required under the law.
