Agreement Between A Widow And The Natural Father And The Intended Adopted Son Executed Before Adoption - Legal Draft

Precedent No. 5 AGREEMENT BETWEEN A WIDOW AND THE NATURAL FATHER AND THE

INTENDED ADOPTED SON EXECUTED BEFORE ADOPTION

This agreement is made the day of between V4' widow of of the

one part and yB' of etc., hereinafter called the 'Natural father' of the

second part and lC of etc., hereafter called the 'Intended Adopted Son'

of the third part.

Whereas late Mr of husband of the widow, the first party by his

Will dated directed the first party to adopt a son to him, and whereas

pursuant to said directions in her husband's Will, the first party

intends to adopt the third party the son of the second party with their

consent, and whereas one of the conditions of the said adoption is to

secure the possession of the estate of the deceased husband of the widow

to the widow during her life-time.

Now it is agreed as follows:

1. The widow, first party shall adopt 'C the third party, with the

consent and permission of the natural father, the second party in

accordance with law.

1. That after the adoption the said 'C shall have the same status

as the natural son except as mentioned hereafter.

1. That during the lifetime of the widow she shall remain in

possession of the property of her husband and shall maintain herself and

also maintain adopted son and the adopted son shall be entitled to take

possession of the property after the death of the widow.

1. That the widow shall not be entitled to alienate the said

property during her life-time.

1. That the second party as the natural father and the third

party, the intended adopted son who has attained majority have signed

this agreement in token of their consent.
