Bankers' Books Evidence Act

Bankers' Books Evidence Act, 1879 (English) (42 & 43 Vict. c. 11), whereby a copy of an entry in a banker's book is made prima facie evidence of the entry, upon proof that the copy has been checked by comparison with the entry.There is power under s. 7 for a magistrate to make an order in criminal proceedings before him for the prosecutor to inspect and take copies of entries in the books of a bank at which the defendant keeps an account, R. v.
