Inspector
Inspector, an overseer, examiner and reporter. There are government and local authority inspectors of factories, mines, shops, weights and measures, ancient monuments, schools, explosives, inebriate reformatories, railways, food, housing and sanitation, Health and Unemployment Insurance, to name a few only of the extensive powers of investigation and inspection by government and other public bodies.
