Lower grade employee, means daftry, peon, bhisti, mali, lamplighter, chowkidar, mazdoor or safaiwala or any other employee declared by the Central Government to be a lower grade employee for the purposes of the Act. [Cantonments Act, 1924 (2 of 1924), s. 2 (xixa)]
