Definition :

Judicial Trustee, a trustee appointed by, and to act under the control of, the court, under the (English) judicial Trustees Act, 1896 (59 & 60 Vict. c. 35). Such a trustee may be appointed either jointly with any other person or as sole trustee, and if sufficient cause is shown in place of all or any existing trustees (s. 1); and the administration of the estate of a deceased person is a 'trust' within the meaning of the Act (ibid.). A judicial trustee is an officer of the court, and he may be remunerated out of the trust property and his accounts must be audited once a year and a report thereon made to the court (ibid).
