Formulation, the definition of 'formulation' is thus very wide and includes even one bulk drug where that one bulk drug by itself is treated as a medicine, Balakrishna Pillai v. Matha Medicals, (1991) 2 SCC 203 (207). [Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 1979, s. 2(f)]
Is defined to mean a medicine processed out of or containing one or more bulk drug or drugs with or without the use of any pharmaceutical aids, for internal or external use in the diagnosis, treatment, mitigation or prevention of disease in human beings or animals, Secretary, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers v. Cipla Ltd., (2003) 7 SCC 1.
