Definition

Foetus, 'foetus' means a human organism during the period of its development beginning on the fifty-seventy day following fertilisation or creation (excluding any time in which its development has been suspended) and ending at the birth. [Pre-Conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (57 of 1994), s. 2(bc)]
