Definition
Fit person, means a person, being a social worker or any other person, who is prepared to own the responsibility of a child and is found fit by the competent authority to receive and take care of the child. [Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000 (56 of 2000), s. 2 (i)]
