Entail [fr. feudum talliatum, Lat.; entaille, Fr., from tailler, to cut], an estate settled with regard to the rule of its descent. See TAIL. As to Scotland, see (English) Entail (Scotland) Act, 1914 (4 & 5 Geo. 5, c. 43).
