Definition :

Electricity system, 'electricity system' means a sys-tem under the control of a generating company or licensee, as the case may be, having one or more:-

(a) generating stations; or

(b) transmission lines; or

(c) electric lines and sub-stations,

and when used in the context of a State or the Union, the entire electricity system within the territories thereof. [Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), s. 2(25)]
