Editor, The term 'editor' is defined in the Press and Registration of Books Act, 1867 to mean a person who controls the selection of the matter that is published in a newspaper, State of Maharashtra v. Dr. R.B. Chawdhari, AIR 1968 SC 110: (1967) 3 SCR 708.
