Definition :

Deprive, use to the word 'deprive' is of great significance. According to the dictionary it means, 'debar from enjoyment; prevent (Child etc.) from having normal home life'. Since deprivation of right of any person by the State is prohibited except in accordance with procedure established by law, it is to be construed strictly against the State and in favour of the person whose rights are affected, Kartar Singh v.
