Definition

Deceased person, means a person in whom permanent disappearance of all evidence of life occurs, by reason of brain-stem death or in a cardio-pulmonary sense, at anytime after live birth has taken place. [Transplantation of Human Organs Act, 1994 (42 of 1994), s. 2 (e)]

Means a person who is no more, who is dead and gone [Estate Duty Act, 1953, s. 2(6)]
