Definition :

Consignee, means the person named as consignee in a railway receipt. [Railways Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), s. 2 (8)]

(ii) means the person named as consignee in the multimodal transport contract. [Multimodal Transportation of Goods Act, 1993 (28 of 1993), s. 2 (c)]

means at least the person to whom the goods are consigned, Western Digiatal Corpn. v. British Airways Plc (CA), (2000) 3 WLR 1855.
