Definition :
Coca leaf, means--
(i) the leaf and young twigs of any coca plant, that is, of the Erythroxylon coca (Lamk.) and the Erythroxylon nivo-gratense (Hiern.) and their varieties, and of any other species of this genus which the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, declare to be coca plants for the purposes of this Act.
(ii) any mixture thereof, with or without natural materials. [Medicinal and Toilet Preparations (Excise Duties) Act, 1955 (16 of 1955), s. 2 (ab)]
(2) means--
(a) the leaf of the coca plant except of a leaf from which all ecgonine, cocaine and any other ecgonine alkaloids have been removed;
(b) any mixture thereof with or without any neutral material.
but does not include any preparation containing not more than 0.1 per cent. of cocaine. [Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (61 of 1985), s. 2 (vi)]
