Definition :
Broadcasting. Aural or visual communication by wireless telegraphy (q.v.).
In the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, the service of broadcasting to the public by means of wireless telephony and television is carried on by the British Broadcasting Corporation incorporated by Royal Charter in December, 1926, which was supplemented in August, 1931, acting under licence of the Postmaster General.
