Britton, a small French law tract under the name of Britton, thought by some to have been composed under the direction of Edward I., by others considered as nothing more than an abridgement of Bracton, with the subsequent alterations that had been made in the law; and to be called Britton, as one of the names of Bracton himself, 2 Reeves, c. xi, P. 280.
