Berne Convention, an international convention drawn up at Berne in 1886 for the international protection of copyright. This was revised in 1908 by the Berlin Convention, also known as the Revised Berne Convention, and in consequence of this revision the (English) Copyright Act, 1911, was passed. See COPYRIGHT.
