Definition :
Beneficiary, he that is in possession of a benefice; also the person having the beneficial enjoyment of property of which a trustee, executor, etc., has the legal possession, in which sense it is gradually superseding the old term cestui que trust: see, e.g., s. 62 of the Trustee Act, 1925. See CESTUI QUE TRUST.
Means a person or object for whose benefit a wakf is created and includes religious, pious and charitable objects and any other objects of public utility sanctioned by the Muslim law. [Wakf Act, 1995 (43 of 1995), s. 3 (a)]
Means (1) a person whose application has been accepted or (2) a person who occupies a holding or part of a holding following a change of occupation and who has given an undertaking to comply with set aside obligations relating to that holding or part assumed by the previous occupier, Halsbury's Laws of England, Vol. 1(2),. 4th Edn., Para 595, p. 339.
