Definition :

Bargain, means an agreement between the parties for the exchange of promises or performance. A bargain is not necessarily a contract because the consideration may be insufficient or the transaction may be illegal, Black Law Dictionary, 7th Edn., p. 143.

Means an agreement between parties that settles that each gives or receives (as a promise or performance) in a transaction between them, Webster's Dictionary of Law, Indian Edn. (2005), p. 44.
