Art, works of. Copyright in works of art now depends on the (English) Copyright Act, 1911 (1 & 2 Geo. 5, c. 46), which, subject to the provisions of the Act, makes the term of protection the life of the author and fifty years after his death. By s. 35 'artistic work' includes works of painting, drawing, sculpture and artistic craftsmanship, and architectural work of art and engravings and photographs.
