Ancwyn
Legal definition for Indian law research
Definition
Ancwyn, a stated allowance of provision allotted to the officers of the Court in their lodgings; the term appears to be put in opposition to cwynos (c'na), supper, as being a privileged private allowance for that meal; the cwynos being the public evening meal. Ancwyn is translated c'na in some Latin copies of the ancient Welsh laws, Anc. Inst. Wales.
