Sorehon, or sorn, an arbitrary exaction, formerly existing in Scotland and Ireland. Whenever a chieftain had a mind to revel, he came down among the tenants with his followers by way of contempt called Gilliwitfitts, and lived on free quarters. See Bell's Scots Law Dict
