Definition

Smart card, means a device capable of storing data and executing commands, which is a single chip microprocessor, mounted on a plastic card and the dimensions of the card and chip are as specified in ISO-7816 specifications, as may be amended from time to time. [Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, s. 2(s)]
