Settlement, Act of, the title of 12 & 13 Wm. 3, c. 2, by which the Crown is limited to the heirs of the body of the Princess Sophia, Electress of Hanover (daughter of James the First's daughter, the Queen of Bohemia, and mother of George the First), 'being Protestants,' and various provisions made for securing our religion, laws, and liberties.
