Relevant, applying to the matter in question; affording something to the purpose; especially of evidence as meaning supporting the contention of a party to a suit.

Logically connected and tending to prove or disprove a matter in issue having appreciable probative value -- That is, rationally tending to persuade people of probability or possibility of some alleged fact, Black's Law Dictionary, 7th Edn., p. 1293.
