Definition :

Reform Acts (English) [2 & 3 Wm. 4, c. 45 (1832), 30 & 31 Vict. c. 102 (1867)], commonly called the (English) Representation of the People Acts; and the Representation of the People Act, 1884 (48 Vict. c. 3): Acts for extending the parliamentary franchise. The Acts of 1832 and 1867 applied to England and Wales only, there being separate Acts for Scotland and Ireland at the same period; the Act of 1884 applied to Scotland and Ireland as well.
