Quays. As to erection of quays in or near to a public harbour, or river communicating therewith, see the (English) Public Harbours Act, 1806 (46 Geo. 3, c. 153), amended by the (English) Harbours Transfer Act, 1862 (25 & 26 Vict. c. 69), s. 15. See also the (English) Harbours, Docks, and Piers Clauses Act, 1847 (10 & 11 Vict. c. 27).
By 9 & 10 Geo. 5, c. 20, the general powers over quays were transferred to the Ministry of Transport; and see HARBOURS.
