Definition :

Pupil, a ward, one under the care of a guardian. In Scotland, a male under 14and a female under 12. During that period, the disabilities are somewhat similar to those of an infant in English law. A pupil cannot sue except by his or her tutor. The word 'minor' (q.v.) is sometimes loosely used to include the word 'pupil.'
