Prerogative courts. The two archbishops have each of them a prerogative Court. The appeal is to the Privy Council, 2 & 3 Wm. 4, c. 92. See now Jud. Act, 1925, ss. 20 (a), 107, replacing Court of Probate Act 1857, s. 4, which took away their jurisdiction in testamentary matters, 2 Steph. Com.
