Definition
Population, means the population of the municipal borough as ascertained at the preceding census, Nyamatkhan v. State, AIR 1994 Guj 64.
As to the mode of ascertaining the 'population' of a municipal borough according to the returns of the last census, q.v., for the purposes of investment in its stock under s. 1 (m) of the (English) Trustee Act, 1925, see Re Druitt, (1903) 1 Ch 446.
