Definition :

Permissive possession, means that the mortgagee is in possession over the property in question with the leave of the owner, or of the 'bhumidhar'. If on being asked to deliver possession, the mortgagee refuses or declines to do so, it would give rise to a cause of action on the date on which possession is refused to be delivered, Pratap Singh v.
