Permanent post, 'permanent post' means a post carrying a definite rate of pay sanctioned without limit of time. Fundamental Rule 9 (30) define 'temporary post' as a post carrying a definite rate of pay sanctioned for a limited time. G.R. Luthra v. Lt.
