Definition :
Permanent, in a appointment order, is need as descriptive of the nature of the appointment, so as to distinguish it from a mere acting, or temporary appointment. It is a fixity of tenure though not for any fixed period, duration of such service will depend on the rules and conditions governing such service, Mookan Ouseph Thomakutty v.
