Pathakanika, the expression 'pathakanika' as used in s. 52(1) (g) appears to have the larger meaning in which that expression is traditionally understood. In the context of s. 52(1) (g), pathakanika would mean personal gifts to the Mahant, Sudhindra Thirtha v. Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, AIR 1963 SC 966 (973).
