Molestation. In questions arising out of trade disputes, molestation may be described as an act of intimidation, violence, shouting, hooting, etc., in contrast to peaceful persuasion, see R. v. Shepherd, (1869) 11 Cox CC 325. In matrimonial law, an act of serious annoyance.
Also in Scots law, the name of an action (now in disuse, being superseded by declarator and interdict) competent to the proprietor of a landed estate against those who disturb his possession--Bell's Scots Law Dict.
