Definition :

Military testament. By s. 11 of the (English) Wills Act, 1837, a soldier or sailor on active service may dispose of his personal estate as he might have done before that Act. The (English) Wills (Soldiers and Sailors) Act, 1918 (7 & 8 Geo. 5, c. 58), extends this right to make wills without formalities to realty in the case of the above persons.
