Manual scavenger, means a person engaged in or employed for manually carrying human excreta and the expression 'manual scavenging' shall be construed accordingly. [Employment of Manual Scavengers and Construction of Dry Latrines (Prohibition) Act 1993 (46 of 1993), s. 2(j)]
