Definition :

Malediction, A curse connected with the donation of property to a Church and applicable against any one attempting to violate the Church's rights, Black's Law Dictionary, 7th Edn., p. 968.

A curse such as was anciently annexed to donations of lands made to churches or religious houses, against those who should violate their rights.
