This is an appeal filed by Karnail Singh against the judgment of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Hanumangarh, dated 5th March, 1976, by which the appellant was convicted under Section 307, I.P.C. and Section 27 of the Arms Act and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 3 years and to pay a fine of Rs. 500/-, in default of payment of fine to further suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months on the first count and on the second to undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months and to pay a fine of Rs. 100/-, in default of payment of fine to further suffer rigorous imprisonment for one month. Both the substantive sentences of imprisonment were, however, ordered to run concurrently.2.
